    • Sierra Howe’s baby is due in April. We want to shower her and baby with love and gifts. There will be a table for gifts in the teacher’s lounge. Be sure to pick up a cupcake, and wish Sierra well. That will be her last class with us for the year. Sierra says they’ll need diapers and wipes and she’s registered at Amazon.

February 13th

  • CO-OP CANCELED
    • Due to too many people out, co-op is canceled today. Our Valentine’s party will be rescheduled for 2 weeks from today.

February 11th

    • Our class schedule will change a little on February 13th to allow for Valentine’s parties at the end of the day.
    • Party snack sign ups are in our Facebook group.
    • Kids are encouraged to bring a Valentine Box and valentines for their class mates. (Student lists can be found on the documents page)

    • You can donate to the co-op library fund by paying Jackie through messenger or bring money to co-op on Tuesday.

February 3rd

    • My service project is February 20th. We will be working in the supply room setting of new shelves and also moving co-op library books to their new location. We will be setting up shelves at the new library location and organizing books by category.

January 27th

  • START OF SECOND SEMESTER
    • We start our second semester this Tuesday, January 30th. I look forward to seeing everyone again.
  • CO-OP START TIME
    • Please remember that co-op starts at 12:30. Don’t plan to arrive at that time. If you aren’t with your first period class by 12:30 then you are late. Every person who isn’t where they belong at 12:30 slows down co-op for everyone. Please plan to be on time.
  • SUB PACKETS
    • The sub packets are kept in the last supply cabinet. Teachers, please check to see that your classes have two sub packets. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS THE TEACHER.

  • FIELD TRIP
    • The weather looks like it may not cooperate with us for our January field trip next week.
    • If the roads are safe we can meet at The Missouri Institute of Natural Science Museum.
    • Check the Field Trip page for the details.
    • If you plan to go please let Jackie know. We don’t expect many, so we haven’t notified the museum. If we’re going to have a big turnout we will contact them.

December 11th

    • Don’t forget to bring your donation items UNWRAPPED, but please keep them HIDDEN. Jackie’s car will be parked by the front door of the church. Please leave your gifts in her car.

November 28th

  • SUB PACKETS
    • If you have not turned in two sub-packets, or if any of your sub-packets have been used please get at least two sub-packets to Jackie THIS WEEK!
  • DISMISSAL
    • Dismissal will be a little different this week. Classes will be at tables instead of in their rows. Please plan to pick up your children as quickly as possible, as any change throws off the groove and can create challenges for our dismissal mentors.
  • DECEMBER SERVICE PROJECT
    • Our December service project will be a collection drive. I’m working with the Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks to see what they need. We’ll keep you posted.

November 11th

  • PICTURES
    • Pictures will be taken this week.
    • Individual pictures will start at 11:00 am. If you have signed up, please be at co-op by then.
    • Class pictures will be taken throughout the day. Remember that teachers and mentors need to be in the class pictures as well.

September 22nd

  • SERVICE PROJECT
    • Remember to have your kids serve around your house or serve your family in some way this week. Also, get pictures and send them to April.
  • CONTACT LIST PICTURES
    • There are still a few families who haven’t had their picture taken for the contact list. If you are one of those families, please plan to arrive early on October 3rd to have that taken.

September 15th

  • CHAIR DOLLY
    • It’s super important that we use a chair dolly when we’re moving chairs around the building. Please NEVER stacked chairs across the floor.
  • SET UP HELP NEEDED
    • If you have TEENS ONLY and could be at co-op at 11:30 or 11:45 this Tuesday, April could use your help setting up.
  • CONTACT LIST PICTURES
    • If your family did not get contact list pictures taken, please get with April on Tuesday to have one taken.

September 8th

  • SUB PACKETS
    • It’s very important that ALL TEACHERS (who haven’t already) give me 2 Sub Packets this Tuesday.
      • *Sub-packets should include everything a teacher would need to take over your class if you’re absent. Please include detailed instructions, any necessary copies, and a list of any needed supplies (which should only include easy to find supplies from the supply closet)
  • YOUTH CLASS CHANGE REQUESTS
    • The youth schedule has changed a bit. If your youth student would like to change classes, you’ll need to fill out a new form by noon Saturday. I’ll do my best to accommodate change requests, but remember they are requests only. Any requests received after noon on Saturday will be declined, and all schedules are final after that.
  • FAMILY CONTACT LIST PICTURE
    • Please come a bit early this Tuesday, so we can get a quick picture of you and your kids for our contact list. April and/or Jackie will quickly take your picture at the bottom of the stairs before announcements. These pictures will be in our yearbook this year.
  • CO-OP STARTS AT 12:30
    • Please be with your first period class BEFORE 12:30. We are taking attendance BEFORE we start.
  • BONUS FIELD TRIP
    • We have been invited to see the Freedom Journey Show in Branson on Friday, September 22nd at 2:00pm. It is a 2 hour show. We will receive special pricing of $12 for ages 13 and up, 12 and under are free. If you would like to attend please let Jackie know this week.     • We are kicking off our year this Tuesday, September 5th. Please be on time and in your seats, with your first-period class by 12:30.

August 18th

  • MANDATORY MEETING
    • Northside Christian Church
    • Friday, August 25

    • Returning parents 7:15
    • Meeting is for parents only, mandatory for teaching parents. Spouses are welcome.
  • SYLLABUS
    • All teachers need to fill in a syllabus sheet for their class. These sheets can be found on the documents page of the website.
  • PARK DAY
    • We will have one final summer park day this year ( Hooray for 5 Tuesdays)
    • Tuesday 8/29 10:00-Noon
  • CLASS MESSENGER GROUPS
    • These messenger groups will be set up for each class over the weekend. Teachers should put any supplies kids need to bring to class (please see supplies announcements below), and class specific announcements in these groups.
  • STUDENT SUPPLIES
    • Teachers will have time to look through our supply closet and create their own tote to take with them to class each week. If we don’t have the supplies your class will need you’ll fill out a request form on the website and co-op will provide them (within reason)
    • If your class will require students to bring their own supplies to class you can let parents know in your class messenger group.
    • *Please remember that co-op has lots of supplies in our supply closet and try to keep student provided supplies to a minimum. Things like their own pencils, and notebook or folder are oppropriate to ask kids to bring to class.
    • If your kids just want to bring their own supplies that’s fine, just be aware that the teachers may not be able to keep each child’s supplies separate.
  • YOUTH SCHEDULE FORM
    • The forms for your youth students to choose their classes will be out this weekend. Please watch for the form and fill one out with each of your youth students as soon as it’s out.
    • Remember that if a high school class gets too full we will give precedence to our seniors. I always do my best to give everyone their desired schedule.
